Community Foundation of Greater Muscatine
Charla Schafer, President of the community foundation, says the board wants to bring 3-D printing technology to Muscatine to help solve the housing problem.
She says Muscatine Community College recently opened a trade training program featuring 3D printing, and students will be able to help with the project.
Schafer hopes work on Muscatine's first 3D printed home begins in March.
