Instead of playing in this year's John Deere Classic Pro Am, the title sponsor's CEO will caddy for an employee.

Michelle O'Neill reports John May has said he's more comfortable on the farm than on the golf course. So he held a video contest for company employees to win a chance to play with PGA Tour golfers.

Allison Farrell from Geneseo won the "Take the Tee for Me" contest. She's a supervisor and Module Leader on the shop floor at Deere Cylinder Works in Moline. Twenty-six other employees also submitted videos, but May chose Farrell's video (below).

Farrell has worked for Deere for six years and has never met the CEO before. She's looking forward to talking with May and observing how he engages with customers and others.

So far, Farrell's not nervous. She played competitive golf in high school and college and is a member at TPC Deere Run in Silvis. Her fiancé proposed to her on the fourth hole, and they're getting married at the course in September.

The John Deere Classic Pro-Am will be held Wednesday. And Farrell will tee off with the first group which features defending champion Dylan Fritelli and two of the company's VIP customers.

Four other Deere employees already got to play in Monday's pro-am. They were the runners-up in the Take the Tee for Me contest.
