Tomorrow, a crew will begin adding a lane to the I-74 bridge off-ramp in Bettendorf.

For weeks, west-bound traffic has been forced to exit onto Grant Street, using only one lane.

This week, the Iowa DOT will change the traffic detour in Bettendorf. Starting Wednesday, weather permitting, 12th Street and Kimberly Road will be restriped for two-way traffic.

As the I-74 Bridge Project continues, the Illinois DOT will change a few traffic patterns in Moline.

Starting next week, drivers will not be able to use the Rock Island viaduct on weeknights. The arsenal garrison says on Sunday night, a crew will begin repairing the bridge between Rock Island and Arsenal Island.

As drivers get used to the I-74 detour in Moline, more police officers are making sure traffic runs as smoothly as possible. Today is the first day Iowa-bound I-74 is closed to allow expanding it to three lanes, along with building ramps and connecting it to the new bridge over the Mississippi River.

The mayor of Moline wants to make sure downtown businesses continue to thrive during the most challenging period of bridge construction.

Michelle O'Neill reports Stephanie Acri has told federal officials they should prepare for more gridlock than they planned for.

A lot more traffic changes will be implemented as work continues on the new I-74 Mississippi River Bridge. Project managers want drivers to prepare for the existing Iowa-bound bridge to be restricted to just one lane of local traffic. Or to avoid it altogether.
