More than 600 people are expected to spend Saturday morning, swimming, riding their bikes, and running for a total of more than 18 miles. The 16th annual Quad Cities Triathlon will be held at West Lake Park, on the western edge of Davenport.
The Scott County Sheriff's Office says the race will start at 7 am and end about 10:30, and it's advising motorists to avoid the area.
Road closures will occur: on 110th Avenue, 160th Street, and on 70th Avenue, from the northern city limits of Blue Grass to Walcott.
