Tuesday night, the board of trustees accepted the resignation of Doctor Sonya Williams, who cited "personal reasons."
She was hired as the 8th chancellor in August of last year, following the retirement of Don Doucette.
Taking her place as Acting Chancellor will be Naomi DeWinter who's served as Vice Chancellor and President of Muscatine Community College.
She first joined the community colleges in 2015.
