Professor Barton shares her excitement about the new film degree offerings at Augustana.

Augustana College will launch a Film and New Media program next fall.

The program will offer a film major and minor and Professor Stacy Barton will be its director.
The new director says that Quad Citizens should be on the lookout for the film students on the streets, and encourages them to get involved with productions, too.
Barton says the program will include adding a Production Studio and editing lab to Sorensen Hall. The new Department of Theatre and Film will offer internship funding for students to study abroad or locally with Fresh Films.
Augustana College has been offering film-related classes since August in anticipation of offering the new major.
