Cities, counties, and property owners are cleaning up as the Mississippi River recedes.

By Friday, the river should drop to flood stage in the Quad Cities. Today (Monday), it's less than one foot above flood stage.

The Quad Cities National Weather Service says minor flooding is occurring at Dubuque and Camanche. The water at Fulton and LeClaire is below flood stage but still at "action" level. But in Bellevue, there's no flooding.

At Illinois City the Mississippi is forecast to fall within its banks very late Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.

The river at Muscatine is one foot above flood stage and should fall to flood stage Saturday morning.

At New Boston and Keithsburg, the water is more than one foot above flood stage.

And at Burlington, moderate flooding continues. The Mississippi is about two feet above flood stage and should fall within its banks on Wednesday afternoon.
