LOVE Girls: The Podcast

Jasmine Babers and Mikhayla Hughes-Shaw sit down with young women from the Quad Cities and beyond for intimate conversations about young adulthood, touching on difficult topics such as mental health while also having some fun along the way. Jasmine is the founder of Love Girls Magazine, a quarterly publication "for girls, by girls" she started while a student at Rock Island High School. Mikhayla — also a graduate of Rock Island High School — is long-time volunteer and story teller Love Girls Magazine, as well as Miss Iowa 2018.

On this episode of LGM - Jasmine takes the opportunity to interview Mikhayla for a get to know you series! Mikhayla answers the questions about surviving depression, about How About HOPE,  what it is like to be Miss Iowa, and what it feels like to land her first "big girl" job post-graduation.
