Sterilite to Create 100 New Jobs in Davenport

Over 100 new jobs will be created at the Sterilite Corporation in Davenport. By early next year, the factory plans to hire employees in maintenance, production, and shipping.

In 2017, the state of Iowa gave Sterilite more than $17 million in incentives for the plastic manufacturer to build a factory in Davenport. Those incentives included infrastructure projects such as road and utility connections, and long term property tax rebates.

When the factory opened in early 2018, Sterilite originally projected it would create 500 local jobs. It currently employs 350 people, and the new hires will bring its total number of jobs to 450.

The company is currently seeking maintenance technicians and other skilled trade workers. Sterilite produces molded plastic products like storage bins, laundry baskets, and waste containers.
