The highest average game attendance ever

Sep 2, 2014

The Quad Cities River Bandits set a record this season. Following the final home games of the regular season over the weekend, attendance per game surpassed the previous record by about 400.

General Manager Andrew Chesser says the team averaged nearly 39-hundred fans per game this season. That is the highest average in the 55-year history of the Quad Cities team. But it could have been even higher.

Total attendance this season at River Bandits home games was 237,000, but that was short of the all time record of 260,000 set in 1994.
The River Bandits are a Class-A affiliate of the Houston Astros
Chesser says even though the season is over for the team, the staff is still working hard. The players started going home today (tues).
He and his staff have already set next year's schedule and they're beginning to work on concession prices, exact game times, and a list of promotions.
