Deere Acquires Brazilian Company Unimil

Unimil

Deere & Company has bought a company in South America that makes parts for sugarcane harvesters. Unimil is based in Brazil, was founded in 1999, and has 430 employees.

Cory Reed, President of Deere's Worldwide Agriculture and Turf Division in the Americas, says quote "Unimil has earned the confidence of customers in the sugarcane parts business by providing excellent service and products."

Deere recently introduced a new sugarcane harvester that's designed to reduce production costs.

Unimil will retain its current brand name.
