His educational path took him to prestigious institutions like Oberlin College, Yale School of Music, and the University of Michigan, where he honed his craft and deepened his musical understanding.

The conversation highlights Philip’s collaboration with harpist Claire Happel Ash as part of their ensemble, the Rivertown Duo. Together, they specialize in innovative performances that spotlight Latin American and Latino composers, bringing a fresh and diverse perspective to the classical music repertoire.
