The YWCA Clinton Empowerment Center is receiving a $2,000 grant from Theisen’s of DeWitt. The award will support rental and moving costs, education assistance, workforce training and ongoing case management for those receiving housing assistance.
“YWCA Clinton is incredibly grateful for Theisen’s generosity and meaningful impact in our community," YWCA Development Coordinator Sarah Salstrom said in a press release. "The Empowerment Center plays a crucial role in providing support to individuals and families right here in our community who are working to overcome housing challenges and gain long-term stability.”
The grant is funded through Theisen’s More for Your Community Grant Program, awarding 350,000 dollars annually to non-profit organizations within a 60-mile radius of Theisen’s stores.
YWCA Clinton is one of six nonprofit organizations receiving funding from Theisen’s of DeWitt this year.
