Illinois non-profit Project Now is hosting a workshop in Rock Island regarding the state’s Digital Equity Capacity Grant on Monday, Oct. 21st, at 10 a.m. at the Rock Island Library Community Room, 401 19th Street.
The meet-and-greet event with the Illinois Office of Broadband's Community Engagement Manager, Alicia Ross, will detail how to apply for grants to fund programs such as device distribution, digital literacy and skills training, community broadband, and more.
The grants total over $30 million and will be allocated over five years. The first round of applications will open this fall.
Non-profits, community organizations, public libraries, educational agencies, and local governments can apply.
