This summer, the Iowa Department of Education awards over $276,000 in federal funds to help students complete FASFA. The fund's goal is to increase the number of students who complete FAFSA for the 2024-2025 school year.

The Department’s Bureau of Iowa College Aid is using the money to help students complete their current applications, and support college partnerships and career counselors.

Recipients were selected based on their ability and experience with helping families complete the FASFA application.

With the grant, the Bureau of College Aid can increase the number of summer transition staff by 50%.
