Moline Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati, in a press release, says, "We are a work in progress and headed in the right direction. After stabilizing staffing and creating and executing a strategy for improvement, we continue laying the foundation for success in the near and distant future."
Starting this week, Moline residents can circulate petitions for inclusion on the April ballot.
The window to file nomination papers is October 21 and ends on October 28.
If necessary, there will be a primary on February 25 next year.
Other than the mayor, the April elections include the positions of alderperson for Wards 2, 4, and 6 plus one at-large alderperson.
