On Saturday morning, elite runners and others will start the climb up Brady Street hill, then finish the seven mile course with a run down the hill.
Race Director, Michelle Juehring, says two years ago, around 12,000 people ran or walked in the race. And around that number have already registered for this year's Bix 7.

She says the Quad Cities is ready to celebrate the return of the race. And music is always a big part of the fun, helping runners put some "pep in their step." More than 30 bands, groups, and individuals will entertain people along the route.
Those who don't run or walk in the race are welcome to help out. Around 5,000 volunteers are needed.
Following Thursday night's Brady Street sprints, the next races will be for the kids. The Arconic Junior Bix starts at 6:00 tonight in the Quad-City Times parking lot.
The big race starts at the foot of Brady Street hill in downtown Davenport on Saturday at 8 am.
Packet pickup continues at the River Center Friday from 9 am until 9 pm.
