Moline will soon begin looking for a new city administrator. Tuesday night the city council will consider hiring a consultant, a business advisory firm named Baker Tilly, for four months.
Mayor Stephanie Acri says the city has already received some interest, and some resumes, from potential candidates, and they'll be part of the pool of candidates Baker Tilly will evaluate.
Last spring, Moline hired a temporary agency for government jobs called Gov Temps USA to provide interim services for one year. And it sent Martin Vanags to fill the interim position. He replaced J.D. Schulte who'd also served on an interim basis, and then returned to serving as Director of Public Works.
