A coffee cake company in Rock Falls is raising money to help provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner to people in Illinois and Iowa. Dave’s Coffee Cake is currently donating $5 per cake to the River Bend Food Bank.

Dave Barajas, Business Development Director, says his father founded the small bakery 16 years ago.
And despite COVID-19, 15-20 employees are still making 75 varieties of coffee cake.
After hearing about the increase in need at the River Bend FoodBank, Barajas and his father decided to help.
Dave's Coffee Cake usually sells its cakes at local farmers markets and festivals but can't right now due to coronavirus restrictions. But Barajas says the company is continuing online sales.
The River Bend Food Bank serves pantries, shelters, and meal sites in 23 counties in northern Illinois and eastern Iowa.
