Child Sex Case Involving Girls in Iowa & Illinois

US Justice Department

An Ohio man will go to prison after pleading guilty to child sex charges involving girls in several states, including Illinois and Iowa. On Wednesday 33 year old Andrew Stone from Rocky River, Ohio, entered his plea in federal court in Rock Island.

According to the US Attorney's office, Stone met a 15 year old Illinois girl online, traveled to the state from his home, then took the girl to Iowa where they had sex. He also admitted having sex with other under-age girls in Illinois, Missouri, and Ohio.

He also admitted having those girls, plus others in Iowa, Virginia, and Pennsylvania create videos of themselves engaged in sexually explicit conduct, and sending the videos to him.

A plea agreement calls for Stone to serve 35 years in prison, with sentencing set for February.

Specifics of the individual cases were not released, but along with his court hearings being conducted in Rock Island federal court, the press release mentions the Moline Police Department as one of the agencies involved in the case.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
