The woman accused of causing a fatal, hit and run accident in Moline will not go to prison. Instead 26 year old Kristianna Granada from East Moline was sentenced Thursday to 2 1/2 years probation.
Granada had been charged with two counts of reckless homicide for the death in December, 2016 of Robert Moldenhauer, as he walked with his bicycle on 6th Avenue in Moline near Riverdale Park.
She wasn't arrested until 3 months later.
Two months ago, prosecutors agreed to drop one reckless homicide charge, in return for her guilty plea. She faced a maximum sentence of 2 to 5 years in prison.
