Blue Grass Fire Victims

Police in Blue Grass have released the names of the four people killed by a fire on Christmas Day.

They are 71 year old Larry Loose Senior and 71 year old Rose Loose, and their sons Steven who was 36 and Michael age 35.

Firefighters were called to their home on Salem Street in Blue Grass about 12:30 am on Monday. They managed to pull one of the victims from the home, Michael Loose, but he was pronounced dead at a local hospital.

The State Fire Marshall says the cause is still under investigation.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
