A winter weather advisory for sleet, freezing rain, snow and blowing snow is now in effect until midnight Saturday night.
- Timing...light snow will develop this afternoon and continue off and on through Saturday afternoon. periods of sleet and freezing drizzle are possible overnight into early Saturday morning. Strong northwest winds, areas of blowing snow, and bitterly cold wind chills will continue into Saturday evening.
- Snow accumulations...2 to 3 inches storm total.
- Ice accumulations...less than a tenth of an inch.
- Wind...North 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph late Saturday and Saturday night.
- Wind chills...10 below to near 25 below zero Saturday evening.
- Impacts...Hazardous travel conditions expected due to slick roads from snow, freezing drizzle, and sleet. Reduced visibilities due to blowing and drifting snow, along with bitterly cold wind chills, will continue hazardous travel conditions Saturday night.
