Knox Co. Crash and Meth Bust Kills One

Details have been released of a fatal crash in Knox County, including names of those involved and a drug bust. Illinois State Police say Wednesday at 2:45 pm, 71-year-old DrienneKruzan, from Abingdon, was killed on Highway 41.

Kruzan was waiting at a stop sign when 44-year-old Troy Patch, from Brimfield, rear-ended Kruzan's car. Patch was driving a pickup truck and 33-year-old Robby Colwell, from Abingdon was the passenger. Both refused medical treatment at the scene.

State Route 41 in Knox County near Abingdon was shut down for five hours last night. Officers found supplies usually used to make meth in Patch's truck. He's been charged with failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, and other charges are pending.
