Intouch Adult Day Services in Moline will keep its doors open after announcing it would close last week. Lutheran Social Services of Illinois has agreed to allow a Chicago-based home health care company to take over its services and leases.
Ron Ford is the CEO of "Help at Home."
Help at Home already has a home health care office in Moline. And the company will also take over for "In Touch" in other cities such as Freeport, Peoria, and Rockford.
Ford says you can't make a LOT of money providing adult day care, but it is a valuable business.
The budget stalemate in Illinois forced Lutheran Social Services to cut 750 jobs and suspend services for nearly five-thousand people across the state. Help at Home plans to hire the Moline center's 70 employees.
Ford says the transition may be complete by the end of next month.
