JMTC Commander Leaving

JMTC

One of the leaders on Arsenal Island will leave soon.

Today the Army announced Colonel David Luders, commanding officer of the Joint Manufacturing and Technology Center, will join the faculty at the Air War College at Maxwell Air Force Base in Montgomery, Alabama.
Luders has been in charge of the JMTC for nearly two years.

He'll be replaced by someone who's already stationed on Arsenal Island - Colonel Donald Wols now serves as deputy chief of staff for logistics for First Army.

A change of command ceremony is now scheduled for June 25th.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
