How Trump Could Influence Republican Senate Candidates

2016-05-19.jpg
Senators Mark Kirk (R-Ill.) and Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) are up for reelection in the fall.

As the campaign continues, at least some focus is now turning to "downballot" congressional races.

WVIK political analyst Dr. Christopher Whitt, chair of the political science department at Augustana College, weighs in on how the "Trump factor" could come into play during Illinois and Iowa Senate races, and how President Barack Obama's legacy will impact the Democrats.

Every other Friday or so from now until the November election, we'll talk with Dr. Whitt about the national, statewide and local races from a Quad Cities perspective. You can hear all our conversations here.
