There was a total of 123 votes at the local caucus precint among the 12 republican candidates, including one for Mickey Mouse.

Rusty Hills, who is a former Michigan Republican Party chairman and 1976 Ronald Reagan precinct delegate, spoke on behalf of Jeb Bush.

Presidential candidate Ted Cruz won a caucus in Davenport Monday night by just a single vote. At Davenport Central High School, 123 republicans voted for their favorite nominee. Cruz received 38, Marco Rubio came in second with 37, and Donald Trump received 19.

David Karwoski spoke on behalf of Cruz, saying he supports the candidate's faith and belief in limited government.

Rusty Hills came from Michigan to attend the caucus in Davenport and spoke in favor of Jeb Bush.

After Cruz, Rubio, and Trump, the fourth place finisher was Rand Paul with 9 votes, while Ben Carson ended up with 6, and Carly Fiorina had 5.
