Ted Cruz says he's the Republican presidential candidate to bring the next "Reagan revolution." Today, the US Senator from Texas campaigned in Bettendorf, and talked about his plans to defeat Islamic extremists and end illegal immigration.
Cruz criticizes politicians who refuse to call ISIS "radical Islamic terrorists." And says the way to defeat them is by arming the Kurds and using "overwhelming air power."
Cruz also says America has to reduce the population of illegal immigrants in the country, by securing the border, deporting criminals, and putting tighter restrictions on employment.
When asked about reproductive health care for women, Cruz replied the "war on women" is fake.
Cruz also wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, and proposes a flat tax and term limits for members of Congress.
Cruz spoke at a town hall meeting in Clinton before campaigning to a standing-room-only crowd of about 500, at the Tanglewood Hills Pavilion in Bettendorf.
