Walker Coming to QC

Walker for President

One of the newest presidential candidates will come to the Quad Cities tomorrow. Just four days after he joined the race, Wisconsin republican governor, Scott Walker, will hold a rally at Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport at 11 am.

Walker announced his candidacy on Monday, and since then has campaigned in Nevada, South Carolina, and Georgia. Today he made several stops in New Hampshire before heading to Iowa for the weekend.

Following the rally in Davenport on Friday, Walker will stop at the Cedar Rapids Museum of Art.
He plans to campaign in western Iowa on Saturday, then on Saturday night in Ames, he'll address the Family Leadership Summit.

His stops on Sunday include Dubuque at 5:30 pm at Giese Manufacturing.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
