Just after crossing the river into Illinois, motorists should watch for traffic signs and orange barrels guiding them to a newly completed section. There'll be two lanes on the Illinois- bound side, with the right lane allowing vehicles to exit at 6th Avenue, or to continue south toward Avenue of the Cities and other exits.
