State of the Union January 30

On Tuesday, January 30th, NPR News will offer live special coverage of President Donald Trump's first State of the Union address and the Democratic Party response. And you can hear it live on WVIK beginning at 8 pm. 

Hosted by NPR's Ari Shapiro and Mary Louise Kelly, coverage will include the on-air broadcast and live annotation by NPR journalists.

Herb Trix
A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
