Trump Supporters Hold Davenport Rally

Supporters of President Trump will hold rallies across the country Saturday, including one in Davenport.

Tammy Kobza is coordinating the Quad Cities rally and three other Spirit of America rallies in Iowa, and says their goal is to show support for the president's agenda: secure borders, updating our infrastructure, and bringing back manufacturing jobs.

"We just know that in the last few years the middle class has become really crunched - higher taxes, lower wages - he sees that and he wants to turn that around."

Kobza says the rallies will feature speakers, patriotic songs, and fellowship.

"It's a very upbeat family friendly time, where we're just going to cheer him on. America by and large believes in the values that our country was built upon and we're ready to stand for America first."

The Davenport rally begins at 10 am Saturday, at a business, Davenport Guns (3701 Miss. Ave.), and because it's indoors she asks that attendees sign up for tickets - they're free from the Spirit of America Facebook page.

Other rallies will be held in Ottumwa, Des Moines, Council Bluffs, and Springfield.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
