Dubuque is helping residents with reminders about garbage day, while teaching them about recycling. The city has launched an app and website called, ReThink Waste Dubuque.

Anderson Sainci, the city's Resource Management Coordinator, says residents can download the app, then enter their address to find out when their garbage will be picked up. The same tool is available on the web.
Dubuque residents may also sign up to receive a call or text about trash and recycling collection. Sainci says another tool is a Waste Wizard widget for users to search for a material to find out if it's recyclable, or what to do with it if it's not.
More information and a download link are available on the City of Dubuque website.
