Local motorists may want to avoid Government Bridge this weekend. The bridge connecting Arsenal Island with Davenport will be closed, during the day, Saturday and Sunday.
Closing from 6 am until 6 pm both days will allow the Iowa Interstate Railroad to continue repairing its tracks on the upper level.
Walkers and bike riders will still be able to cross while the work goes on.
