Racial Profiling in Davenport Update

The number of minority drivers stopped by Davenport police went up last year. That was the conclusion presented last week to the Community Advisory Panel by researchers at Saint Ambrose University during their third study of possible racial profiling in the city.

Herb Trix reports

Results of the 2014 study will soon be posted on the city of Davenport Civil Rights Commission website:

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
