After fixing the most serious violations, a well-known hotel and conference center in Bettendorf will be allowed to stay open. That was the announcement Wednesday from the city following a second inspection of The Lodge.
In May, fire and building officials performed their annual inspection and found more than 200 code violations, involving the sprinkler system, smoke detectors, and stairwell exits.
The city says these have been fixed, and The Lodge is still working on some electrical problems.
