Possible presidential candidate Rick Perry will visit the Quad Cities Friday. The former governor of Texas is scheduled to "meet and greet" local republicans at Scott County GOP headquarters in Davenport.
It begins at 5:30 pm, at Paul Revere Square (2322 E Kimberly rd).
Following stints in the Texas House of Representatives, as the state's Commissioner of Agriculture, and as lieutenant governor, Perry was first elected governor in 2000, and served until earlier this year.
This latest trip to Iowa begins tonight with a speech to the Dallas County GOP in West Des Moines, followed by two stops on Friday - in Marshalltown at noon, and Davenport at 5:30 pm.
