Rauner Campaigns in the QC

WVIK Staff

Despite a grueling schedule, Bruce Rauner says he's enjoying the campaign.

Following Tuesday night's debate in Chicago, and an appearance in the city this morning, the republican candidate for Illinois governor then drove to the Quad Cities for interviews with two separate newspaper editorial boards, followed by a brief stop with local supporters in East Moline, then back on the road to Chicago.

Rauner also hopes his campaigning will convince more Illinois residents to cast ballots by November 4th.

Electing a governor is as much, or more important for the state, than electing a president.

And during the final weeks of the campaign he promises to be "everywhere, every day," focusing on his main campaign message - more jobs, lower taxes, better schools, and term limits for politicians.
