Narcisse for Iowa Governor

WVIK Staff

When Iowa voters go to the polls next month, they'll have at least three choices for  governor. Once again, Jonathan Narcisse  is running, and representing the Iowa Party.

Narcisse says the two major parties are too often focused on politics and not on how to govern the state, and fight poverty and improve education. And part of the blame goes to the Iowa caucuses.

Being realistic about his chances of being elected governor of Iowa, Narcisse says his main goal this fall is to win at least two per cent of the vote.

With just 2% can make a difference.

And once his party is assured a place on the ballot, Narcisse says the Iowa Party will begin to recruit candidates for school board and local offices, and then start running candidates for the legislature.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
