WIU Offers New Degrees in QC

WIU QC

Western Illinois University is bringing new opportunities to the Quad Cities campus.  Today (Thu), officials announced new undergraduate and online programs.

WIU President Jack Thomas says the new programs include an undergraduate degree in Psychology, as well as a new minor in mathematics.

"The question is not which institution students choose to attend," said Thomas. "But how, collectively, we can get more students to enroll, obtain degrees, and remain in our region. We want to make sure that we keep students in the great state of Illinois and in our region."
Online, the university will now offer a degree in communications and masters degrees in music and music education.

Thomas hopes the online masters program will help full-time high school teachers continue their education without having to leave the area, or their jobs.
