Scott Community College Names New President
Lyn Brodersen Cochran will begin serving as Scott Community College president in August, after leaving her current role as Assistant Vice President of Organizational Development at Iowa State University.
Brodersen Cochran says as president, she wants to serve as the college's liaison with the community.
"Also, to be someone who is actively pursuing funds for the good of the college and the district that will allow faculty, staff and students to do their jobs and to have a great experience at Scott Community College."
The Sioux City native says she'll take the first three months to get to know the area — she and her husband just put an offer on a house in Davenport.
Brodersen Cochran will replace Teresa Paper, who's retiring after 12 years of leadership.
