Brockway Joins Moline School Board

A new member has joined the Moline school board. Tuesday night the board appointed Stephen Brockway to fill the un-expired term of Robert Dyer who moved away from the area.

Brockway was one of six applicants for the seat.

Following 30 years as a Moline police officer, he is now manager of Enterprise Special Global Investigations for John Deere.

He'll serve on the school board until next April.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
