Immigration Reform Panel Discussion

Faith, law enforcement, and business leaders from Iowa will talk about immigration Wednesday. The panel discussion at St. Ambrose University has been organized by the Quad Cities New Ideas Forum and a group called the Bibles, Badges and Business for Immigration Reform.

Dan Gordon, from the National Immigration Forum, says the panel members come from unique backgrounds.
The panel members come from the Quad Cities, Iowa, and some national organizations.

With the Iowa caucuses approaching, Gordon says it's important to talk about immigration.

These groups are considered "non-traditional allies" on immigration.

The public is invited and the panel discussion begins at 6 pm Wednesday at St. Ambrose in the Rogalski Center.

A native of Detroit, Herb Trix began his radio career as a country-western disc jockey in Roswell, New Mexico (“KRSY, your superkicker in the Pecos Valley”), in 1978. After a stint at an oldies station in Topeka, Kansas (imagine getting paid to play “Louie Louie” and “Great Balls of Fire”), he wormed his way into news, first in Topeka, and then in Freeport Illinois.
