Iowa School Board Election Filing Period Over

Fulton Sun

Races are now set for next month's school board election in the Iowa Quad Cities. Four seats are open on each board, following last week's filing deadline.

In the Davenport School District, there are only three candidates-- incumbents Linda Hayes and board president Ralph Johanson are seeking re-election. Joining them on the ballot will be Dan Gosa.

In the Bettendorf, five candidates are running for four seats. They include two incumbents, Barry Anderson and Paul Castro, as well as Michael Pyevich, Gordon Staley, and Stacey Struck.

In the Pleasant Valley School District, three incumbents are running again: Scott Isbel, Nikhil Wagle, and Joe Bullock. Also on the ballot will be Darin Oberhart, Jodi Hoskins, and Christine Anderson.

And three incumbents are running again in the North Scott District, including Glen Keppy, Joni Dittmer, and board president John Maxwell. Joining them on the ballot will be Molly Bergfeld.

School board elections in Scott County, and across Iowa, will be held on September 8th.
