A new president has been chosen for Muscatine Community College. Pending a formal vote next week by the trustees of the Eastern Iowa Community Colleges, Naomi DeWinter will take over in August.
She'll replace retiring Muscatine president Bob Allbee, who's worked for the college district in a variety of jobs for 35 years.
Doctor DeWinter currently serves as Vice President of Student Affairs at North Central Michigan College in Petoskey Michigan.
Previously, she also served as Director of Enrollment Management.
The Eastern Iowa Community Colleges conducted a nationwide search for Allbee's replacement.
