The Moline School District will soon have to start looking for a new leader. Superintendent David Moyer is expected to turn in a letter of resignation Thursday to accept a job in the Chicago suburbs.
Wednesday night the board of education for the Elmhurst School District approved a contract to hire him as superintendent.
The district serves about 82-hundred students in the city of Elmhurst, plus portions of Oak Brook, Bensenville, and Addison. Moline has about 74-hundred students.
Doctor Moyer came to Moline in 2012 from a school district in Wisconsin.
