The University of Illinois will get a grant to catalog a collection of rare Italian books it's had for more than nine decades.

U of I says its Rare Book & Manuscript Library will use the nearly half a million dollar grant to catalog more than 20,000 imprints from the 16th through 19th centuries.
Northern Illinois University and U of I are part of an interlibrary loan system, but NIU generally would not have access to U of I's rare books and vice-versa.
