The Regal movie theater in Moline will reopen Friday after being closed for about a year. Its website lists the Quad Cities location as one of four in Illinois set to welcome customers back after closing during the pandemic.Films return to the big screen as the entire state moves into the bridge phase of Restore Illinois. The reopening plan will allow expanded capacity for businesses, gatherings, and events.
The AMC theater in Galesburg will also open its doors Friday. The locally-owned Sterling Theater reopened in January with limited seating.
The Cinemark movie theater in Davenport and Palms 10 in Muscatine (a Fridley theater) reopened last June under Iowa's less restrictive COVID-19 guidance. The Clinton 8 Theater reopened in late August.
