The Davenport downtown library has closed for a 1.2 million dollar renovation project. No new space will be added to the 52 year old building, but the existing space will be re-configured.
Director Amy Groskopf (grose-kawf) says the project includes improving the children's area.

Because of the pandemic, the downtown Davenport library is closed anyway, except for computer appointments and curbside pickup of library materials. During the renovation these services will be available at the two branches.
Groskopf hopes all the work will be finished by mid-March.
